How do I find which FTP Directory to delete

Use an FTP Client such as FileZilla or one of the many freeware ones to logon to your FTP site and find the directory in question.

How do I configure 2 FTP Sites

Only one copy of FTPUpload can be active at any one time, the configuration is stored in an INI file in the same directory as the FTPUpload file. To have two systems simply copy FTPUpload.exe to another directory, we would recommend a sub directory of the installation directory, then create a shortcut to this copy of FTPUpload. Rename the short cut to "FTPUpload Site2", then use this link to send data to Site2. At some stage there may be a configuration option for this.

Operation cancelled

Sometimes and error message "The operation has been cancelled" is displayed and re transmitting does not clear the error. In this case you will need to close and reconnect to your FTP server, just press . This error can occur after pressing "Stop" during a transfer.

Stop command

The stop command attempts to cleanly close the connection sometimes it has to terminate the FTP connections, forcing you to re login. This may be fixed in a late release, it appears to be caused by a "feature" in the WinInet API.

Deletion failures

Some FTP servers, e.g. War-FTP do not seem to allow the deletion of certain files, e.g. ".LNK". To confirm this is not a FTPUpload problem try deleting them with an FTP Client program such as CuteFtp.

If fails to find modified files

Version 1.00.0.2 fixes this. The problem only occured if you were using FTPUpload in a non UK timezone.

What does it cost

Nothing, it is free, the user may use or distribute it freely but it MUST not be sold for profit.

Will it overwrite my PC settings

No. All the software is installed, usually, in "c:\program files\FTPUpload". FTPUpload does not use the registry, only data required by the installation program, to uninstall the software is written to the registry.

How do I install/remove it

As you would install/uninstall any Windows program.
